A worker was killed in a boiler explosion at a rice mill at Piyaratala village of Jibannagar upazila in Chuadanga on Sunday.
The deceased was Foysal Hossain, 24, son of Kamal Hossain, a resident of the same village in the upazila.
Jibannagar police station officer-in-charge, Abdul Khalek, said that the boiler exploded with a huge sound at about 11:45am, when Foysal was working at the rice mill, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, a team of police went to the spot and recovered the body, the OC said, adding that they handed over the body to the family members of the deceased.
